Abstract Increased high-lift capabilities due to propeller slipstream, i.e. slipstream deflection, is seen be one of the main benefits distributed propulsion, as it may lead a reduction in wing size and thus reduced drag cruise flight and/or system weight complexity. The presented work assesses potential propulsion on novel transport aircraft design from an aerodynamic point view. assessment based regional propeller-driven designed within European IMOTHEP project. Based initial design, sensitivity study number propellers positions with regards maximum lift coefficient under take-off conditions has been performed.
